Ilyse Hogue: Black China is being applauded slash seen as someone who's getting her life together. She says it goes to show how at a certain point celebrities or influencers choose to adopt certain aesthetics that are not really in line with their like true identity per se, but it's more like a costume. It seems kind of like a very specific type of Black aesthetic is no longer the default. If anything with the Ozambic chef, like people are saying we're going back to the 2000s.
