Cognitive Bias Modification for Alcohol Use Disorders
There's very good evidence of cognitive bias modification techniques, especially for alcohol use disorders. There are other approaches that target the impulsive salience neural network or the executive control circuit as well. And then you have a second family of interventions which are trying to help reorganize, compensate, rearrange, top-down control. The evidence for cognitive remediation and strategy-based approaches is very good in terms of like helping with cognitive functioning. But it's a little bit more sparse in terms of improving clinical outcomes.
