The Myth of the Real Napoleon
Napoleon should be seen as a kind of modern celebrity figure. He actively sought to shape his own image, persona and reputation. The popular image of arcal is all about napoleon. But the other side of that is the creation of what we would call the black legend. They even tried to kill him through some bombs in 18 hundred these were french bombs, but funded by britain. And i think he's an extremely important example of how the legacies of historical figures, whether we view them positively or negatively are shaped by ideological forces.
