The Reappraisal of Henry Ford
Bob Greene says Ford was ahead of his time. His novels were republished before the good soldier in 1950 and put together in one volume by Knopf. That sort of really sort of kickstarted a revival in Ford, I think. It's only much later that people have gone back and started looking at some of the earlier books again. He said he sat down on the day he was 40 to start the good soldier; it didn't come out for years after that.
