The Importance of Reconnecting With the Diaspora
The traditional economy is living off of diaspora and the oligarchy knows this. Big business in El Salvador is no longer coffee, cotton or anything else but immigration it's remittances. This is the product that brings the country the biggest benefit and it produces no cost. It doesn't take a cent for someone to migrate away from the country but the country itself receives the greatest benefit. So I think that the key for transformation is to have an education that is not traditional that is to say that it should be rooted in culture and recovering our culture.
