The role of the organization in being a place for people's wholeness is one way to phrase it. What am I responsible for in this first sphere of my personal well-being? How do I need to develop my own sovereignty around my physical power and my aliveness? When are we putting blame on spheres outside of ourself rather than taking responsibility? We have like shared cultural tools around that so it doesn't always have to be arbitered or become the centerpiece at the organizational level.
“Power.” It’s a loaded word that can conjure up feelings of negativity, fear, and general ickiness. And with good reason. If our default definition of power is all about authority and control, then the less of it, the better—right? But if we tilt our head a little and instead see power as the ability to move energy through a system, then it becomes a powerful (sorry, had to) ingredient in making big change.
