Edward Norton does so much good watching of things in this when he's revisiting because he clearly has a special relationship with Renner's character more so than the other agents. He seemed to like we see in the early encounters he is trying to earn the guys trust and like try to keep him focused on the mission but also reach some sort of moral understanding with the man. I think it's very well grounded I just don't know how it lands for me, says director Tony Gilroy.
