Everybody's got the stereotype of the racist uncle. Facebook has a structural design problem that comes directly from an advertising based business model. We're asking a community to manage people's opinions. Will it work? I don't know. But the concept is to say, how can we democratize? Mm-hmm. How can we broaden out? So rather than simply having a model where Twitter hires 30,000 people, very horrible jobs in low-wage countries to look at horrific content and deal with it, can we actually devolve that power into the community?"
