Jean debbs was convicted of violating the sedition law and sentenced to ten years in prison. In his final speech, he said: "While there is a soul in prison, i am not free" The case has been considered one of the important test cases of the espionage act. Some are saying that we should acknowledge that we really overreached in this case.
