What Are the Possible Consequences for the Lawyers?

Normally you don't ask lawyers to testify against their clients. But there's an exception, the crime fraud exception, to that ethical rule. Lawyers could either take the fifth and then we won't find out what they know,. Or if they're really threatened, they could make a deal with the government to talk. I feel like all this is a little implausible, but part of tus because i can't decide.
