I also love the idea that the public are not interested in politics and don't care about any of this stuff. And I think obviously what's happened now with Liz Truss is that some issues don't cut through. When people are about to be absolutely screwed with their mortgages, it cuts through. Also drama cuts through. It's not even about whether you're left wing or right wing or vote Tory again or whatever,. Or if ever voted. This strikes me as inherently bad, but also quite funny. If you're doing comedy about this stuff, or if you're making news about it, people absolutely love it.
