The Crisis of Freedom

Eric Liu: What does it say of America today that you can see this bitter polarized gridlock in so much of American public life and certainly where we live in Washington, DC? Liu: I'm personally surprised that more people don't focus on the crisis of freedom. And beyond any question, the deepest energizing principle of America is freedom. The glory of America, the strength of America. But I want to raise the question, the framers raised, can freedom last forever?
