Aretha Franklin - Is She a Victim?

Aretha Franklin never saw herself as a victim and didn't want some aspects of her private life talking about. There will be things people might expect me to talk about in this episode, but I don't see myself under any obligation to share it. That's not me making excuses for people who did inexcusable things, that's me showing some respect to one of the towering artistic figures of the latter half of the 20th century. Bobby Blue Bland was an important figure in the Memphis music scene of the early 50s which we talked about in several early episodes.
