"I just feel like there is this taking for granted of what she's right for and capable of in this movie," he says. "She holds the frame of the Barbie movie throughout, that's never in doubt." He also thinks Kate McKinnon as weird Barbie did a great job. "[Margarabe] lends a relatableness to this movie that I don't think many other people would pull off," Hanks adds.
