The Power of Emotionality

I always think it must be intense for parents to read their kids work. They are like sort of being exposed to some of the emotional truth that you're expressing on the page, whether you feel that or you just want to imbue it in your characters. That's what's so beautiful about this endeavor. My older sister is also a writer, also a fiction writer. Her dad once quips that between two fiction writers, he's going to have one hell of an obituary.
