The Evolution of Society
In 1964 English translation of the technological society, he offers this one line definition technique is the totality of methods rationally arrives at. So much of his classic book focuses on technique in politics in economics and then in daily human life. It's worth noting that this definition includes its own evolution over time, which is why he writes for a given stage of development. And so you might say that technique is the logic of the machine applied to all of life.
