Timor's elections have had big swings over a long history. Voters in Timor are committed to using their power quite ruthlessly, he says. If they don't like a government they will dispose of it without much compunction and this is basically what we saw happening here. He thinks there are lessons that really need to be drawn by Fredeline who got their lowest vote ever at a national election on Sunday.
