How Do You Get That Steamy Effect?
It's not an easy job in that you have a lot of opinions often on set. And also I think on shoot days, we always have a shot list. We do use some post effects sometimes for steam specifically because steam is a really tricky one. That's why so many coffee ads are like dark, moody, morning light coming from behind and that sparkle really kind of makes the steam pop. But no, but at the same time we also do semi dangerous things where we'll have these like heaters that are just outside of the frame that are just spot heating. The slow motion helps us because we just need a decision for half a second or one second and in slow mode
