The reason we don't drive shifts is because of a minority rule. An automatic shift is vastly moreor used to be, vastly more expensive. So even at micro level of the product, youre riven by minority rules. Good fances make good neighbors and roommates have different relationships. And effectively, if you look at the ethical system, you always have a boundary.
