Lebanon's central bank has been printing more than 34,000 billion dollars in a year. The government is basically bankrupt and they don't have any income so are just printing money to pay their public sector employees. As you can see from the data for M3, it started to growth up until the end of 2017 at the beginning of 2018. And that's when things started to plateau 2018 M3 stopped growing. Then in late 2019, M3 began to fall. So we went from somewhere around 10,000 in billion LVP to somewhere around 34,000 billions in September 2019.
