How Much Protein Should You Eat Per Day?

Eating protein in the hour after exercise is essential to promote muscle gains. Carbohydrates are your primary fuel source during high-intensity exercise. Aim to fill half of your plate with carbohydrates on training days. The general rule of thumb is have a meal 3-4 hours before the training session and a snack 1-2 hours before. But if you're doing an intense workout for a longer duration, it's recommended that you eat something post-training too.
