The Grotesque and the Philosophy of Language
Every word that Mr. Speaker speaks is made flesh as a kind of, as a sort of unique, strange, mouthless animal. So when he speaks, he becomes sort of these creatures drop out of his mouth and he becomes surrounded by the basically living words. I started off with this idea of the kind of the word made into an animal. And then it also sort of, what that allowed me to do was have a kind of playful, but fairly serious sort of debate about the philosophy of language.
