The History of Memento Park
Memento Park features 40 monuments to communism including a replica of Stalin's boots. After the withdrawal of Russian forces from Eastern Europe these monuments to Soviet power were not destroyed. They stand today enclosed in a field outside Budapest where visitors can gaze and wonder if Hungary really has set aside its communist past.
