Is the Last Clonic Jerk a Good Lateralizing Sign in a Focal Epilepsy?
The last clonic jerk is a good lateralizing sign. Even if you missed the first part of this seizure, I think it's quite helpful in a focal epilepsy. So all the signs that we've kind of mentioned in our paper have a positive predictive value of greater than 80%. That's very helpful to know. Similarly for head turns and posturing as well. The video is more reliable than history,. You can imagine that it's quite stressful for a relative when they're witnessing a seizure.
