It's not just autocracies that are lining up to haver about the Russian invasion, it's democracies too, he says. Europe has adjusted a lot better to Russia not selling us gas than many people expected before the war, and in some sense that's part of the story of relative Western unity since February last year. But if India wasn't buying oil now from Russia, then India wouldn't also be exporting refined petroleum products to European countries who don't want to buy oil directly from Russia.
