Forgiveness: Mudbloods and Murmurs (Book 2, Chapter 7)

Harry Potter and the Sacred Text

CHAPTER

Forgiveness in the Context of Conflict, Right?

i think the fight at the end is one of the places where we can test my definition of forgiveness as non retaliation. The text wants us to be grateful that people step in to protect hermione. But i wonder if also, the text is subtly suggesting, when you do retaliate, some of it comes back on you. Or is it just saying, noa's wand's broken?
