The Story of Stella Nickel

Stella Nickel was born into a working-class family in Oregon. At age 15 she felt pregnant, confiding in others that it was the outcome of a rape. Another pregnancy occurred at age 18, which ended in Stella giving the newborn up for adoption. Her life was one spent transitioning between relationships, homes, and jobs. By the time she reached a cant, Stella was living out of her car.
