The Comparison Between Polio and the Current Malaria Vaccine
The current malaria vaccine is only 30 to 35% effective, not 100%. The scientists who've come up with it have been amazingly brilliant. This is the first time we've found a vaccine for a parasite. There's progress, but we're not there yet. And in terms of the proportions of funding that are going to go into malaria control, I don't think it's going to change dramatically.
