The Awkwardness of Nathan

I feel like every scene in the movie is two characters having a conversation with each other. And they're always interacting in this awkward or stilted manner. Like nothing ever goes really smoothly in any of the conversations for the entire movie. But my reading in the performance is like all of them fall kind of flat. Do you disagree?
