Mourinho won the Champions League with Porto in 2003. Roman Abramovich was a brash new owner who wanted to make a statement. He certainly ticked all the boxes for Chelsea, I think. Mourinho's Porto side by and large did that - they dominated possession. And he guided Deco from journeyman player to best form of career.
