The Importance of Pragmatism

Dewey argues that we could replace the concept of truth with the concept of warranted assertability or warranted assertion. Truth can fall out of the picture because Dewey is interested in simply the kind of evidence that can be proffered for a particular hypothesis and truth doesn't matter at that point. Vordy takes that to the next logical extension and says things like this as you may be aware. In my lifetime the one philosopher who stands out as having been heavily influenced by pragmatism is Richard Rorty. How is he a pragmatist? What did he do with the tradition?
