Are We Too Evidence Limited?
Without the science, I think doctors feel as though their hands are tied. If there is not a double-blind, randomized, placebo-controlled trial to prove that one diet is better than another, physicians will say it doesn't matter. We can't base large medical decisions on anecdotes. But when there is a mountain of anecdotes, when n equals one becomes n equals many, we need to find a way to study this in a way that will get through to mainstream western medicine. And these studies are starting to happen, which is what's so cool. They're all crowdfunded. So I've got it.
