Blackstone's Views on Fundraising in a Heated Market

Blackstone's chief operating officer, John Gray, indicated on the firm's first quarter earnings call that its next private equity flagship will be in line with its predecessor. He told me there's an enormous amount of dry powder, and too much money chasing too few deals. The largest private equity managers are still investing out of circa $20 billion funds.
