The single stock options market grew four times as large in 20 21 as it was in 20 19. Retail investors could afford to buy a huge amount of exposure on individual stocks through the options market. We estimate about 50 % of the single stock optionsMarket wich is traded by retail on a regular basis. This ended makes about forty per cent of all risk in single stocks being traded by retail.
