I remember thinking, gosh, this is awful because there are all sorts of things that they're doing that we don't understand. Of all the things that the lobby knows inside out and has expertise in, benefits policy as applies to people who aren't higher rate taxpayers isn't one of them. There's a very weak up. In the same way that I think, I can't believe we've managed to avoid a subject for so long, but I don't think Brexit might not have happened if the lobby had known about how the EU works. The level of ignorance of what constituted a serious thing to say and what constituted just a stupid thing to say clearly no one should believe the God
