The Importance of Blocking the Phrenic Nerve
The phrenic nerve lies on the belly of the anterior scaling muscle. So if you're noticing movement of that diaphragm, you want to start directing your needle posteriorly. The inner scaling approach will is going to block the brachial plexus at the level of the root strunks. It's a very easy test question that sometimes people miss because no one thinks it'll ever be 100% right.
