The Rhetoric of Multiracial Democracy
In our ideal, the world is that based that no matter what our history has been, anyone born tomorrow has a relatively level playing field. And there's debates about equity and what it means and how you apply it. But then secondarily, and this is a lot we're talking about, is there's political rhetoric that whether you take it literally or not, literally or seriously, is not the rhetoric of someone who takes multiracial democracy seriously. I think we encountered that.
