The idea of statistical averages is oppressive because it assumes some kind of norm that if you don't conform to then you're weird or deviant. This whole issue is sort of related to that right and so we have to appeal to some extent to a notion I mean even though it's true that there is this notion that the weaker man is usually stronger than a stronger woman but you know you must appeal to some kind of notion of averages, he says.
