Introduction

Dr Helen Williams is an independent consultant who specialises in early mathematics. Her book Playful Mathematics for Children aged 3 to 7 was published by Sage in March 2022 and won the Nursery World Professional Book of the Year Award. She's a member of the Early Childhood Mathematics group, the British Society for Research in to Learning Mathematics and also the Association of Teachers of Mathematics.
