10-year-old Bradford's eyewitness account was consistent. He said he had seen Falcon climb into the balloon's battery compartments but did not seem come out. Richard Heaney dismissed rumors that this might be a big publicity stunt or a hoax. The Irma County chef Jim Eldreden did not think it was a hoax either.
