I really do enjoy games that have a sense of vastness, a sense of scale and exploration. I think that's something that is going to continue to work better as we get technologies like direct storage in our games. Being able to seamlessly roam from one environment to the next with no loading times could be kind of cool. Like if every rock in a field was a bit different, you know, so that I think that deduplication of assets would be would be super cool. That's one idea. Has anyone done that? There's been forms of it. You could do it through procedural textures. It'd just take a while for that to become mainstreamable.
