The Voluntary Carbon Market
There's no government step against saying you have to offset. So companies elect for the admissions they can't reduce to offset. They'll buy offsets themselves and retire them voluntarily covering, you know, the amount of emissions that they've decided for themselves to cover. There's absolutely no pricing transparency. The layers of middlemen obscure pricing deals over the counter. It's also hard to get on the carbon registries. You got to go through these approval layers and you know, you need to learn the whole market inside and out.
