Are Plots More Powerful Than Ideas?
The idea that someone could rise from the dead is very powerful for a couple of reasons. The brain wants to find new possibilities, and wonder is a moment in which your brain pauses and says there's more here. And so when we tell myths about resurrection, it immediately hacks that part of the brain. It makes us think, oh, i can be immortal. Or,Oh, if i follow this guy, i'm going to go to heaven or other eno. That narrative is incredibly powerful,. As soon as people come up with that narrative, it is immediately entrancing.
