The Positivity of Inflation in Europe
European stocks have done pretty well since October even outperformed many peers globally. So I think it's an interesting outset for a discussion on Europe and whether we can sort of remain in this positive spirit. We had an absolute stinker of an inflation report out of the UK mainly driven by another spike in food prices which looks a bit odd to meGiven that traded food prices are down a lot but we saw the same thing happening in France through February and March so lacked effects from extreme price hikes into last year. There's probably a bit of a lack effect on going here in food prices in Europe which is interesting to follow because it has been a big part of the surprises to inflation in recent quarters
