Is There a Difference in Perception Culturally?

Even in my home country there are still this like Perception culturally. The impact of certain things that you do that might have on others is very important because I might not be fully aware in America or in Europe so I have to always ask people so Am I saying something that make people feel awkward? In China I can just joke all I want people like because I know the reaction from People around me it would you understand what's culturally acceptable or right?
