The composer didn't realize this until he was in the movie theater watching the premiere. He wanted to reach people on a subconscious level and move us in ways we can't verbalize. This actually relates to what we're talking about in the opening. It's these two ape tribes, a bunch of tapiards and a leopard. That's the cast of characters for the first 20, 25 minutes of the movie. And yeah, no language.
