The Dark Theater - What's It Like?
In the theatre, you can rework your performance probably based on what the audience reaction was the night before. The kinds of stories I was drawn to were definitely on the dark edge, kind of lived in the shadows. And there were moments during Barry Child in particular or a play that I did and Naomi Wallace play when I was younger called One Flea Spare about the plague. You just saw people cringing and you could feel their terror. What a great feeling.
