I've Always Felt Like a Bit of an Outsider
"I believe deeply in the promise of america as the child of immigrants, and so, like i, i always believed that we were out to do right by people like ourselves," he says. "As one of the only asian kids in my school district, which i was reminded of quite often, i've always felt like a bit of an outsider." He's disappointed when they take criticism poorly but still has optimism about what our institutions could and should be.
