The Black Experience

The racial issue in our country is on the heart level right it's not let me say this too It's not just white people right one of the things that we're really big about particularly in our community Is the issue of colorism. We talked about our own experiences right I have a song on my album called dark skin Where i'm describing the story of a sister of mine where she literally was trying to scrub the black off of her skin at six years old. How are we five six seven years old studies show that people become racially aware and kindergarten right That we're our children black and white and brown are picking up all the things that aren't being fed to them by the mainstream media
