The Chaos of a Mass Layoff

Some companies that have huge layoffs, it's kind of crazy. They'll do like an all company call. Because everyone's remote these days. I'm picturing Bob Eiger sitting there with the guy from Office Space bringing everyone in and saying, could you tell us exactly what it is you do here? It reminds me of arguments about administrative floats on college campuses. There are so many people who are like, I'm a class counselor or I'm doing whatever. And they're just basically getting paid by the university to deal with the bureaucracy that having so many bureaucrats has created.
